Hello all you dashingly good looking people! Can you believe that March has left us and that we are already into April? Before I know it we’ll be in June and I’ll be turning 20!

Well, to reflect on the wonderful (and rainy) March that just left us, I am here to share with you some of my favorite things that I have been enjoying this month! Let me know what you think!

For beauty favorites this month I have been in love with Maybelline’s Fit Me Dewy & Smooth for my foundation. Prior to this I was using Matte & Poreless, but since I have typically dry skin, that made me look cakey and drier than ever! Dewy & Smooth makes me look hydrated and I reach for it nearly every day!

I’ve also been loving NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer! I had been on the hunt for a concealer that I could pop under my eyes pretty much every day and this was exactly what I was praying for. It was a tad pricey but definitely worth the investment!

To make sure both my foundation and concealer don’t go patchy or dry up, I’ve been using NYX’s HD Studio Finishing Powder. It wasn’t too crazy expensive and I was able to pick it up from Target. It makes my makeup last all day and I totally recommend it if you’re looking for a finishing powder!

Lastly for beauty, I have been using my Victoria’s Secret Scandalous fragrance. It has a warm, vanilla smell that I can only describe as cozy and I always get compliments when I wear it!

First in my random favorites is my new phone case. I got it in the sale section from H&M for only 3 bucks! THREE DOLLARS! Marble is so in and I was beyond happy to marble-ify my phone with this case. But due note that it is not at all protective. I have my screen protector on it to put my heart at ease, but I would not trust this if you’re clumsy with your phone.

I’ve also been obsessing over this candle I got from PaperSource. It has such a spring-time scent that is calming and relaxing to burn while you study or clean your room. It has notes of Thai Lychee Pulp, Green Mango, and Coconut Water! It was under $9 so I couldn’t pass it up!

BOOKS:

I was assigned to read For Today I Am a Boy for my LGBTQ studies class that I am taking at University and I could not put it down. Kim Fu writes so eloquently that I felt like I was right there with Peter on his journey to discovering his gender identity. The story is about a boy named Peter who is raised by very strict Asian-Canadian parents. He feels trapped into being masculine like his father wants when in reality he is going through so much emotional turmoil with his inner wishes of being a girl. This book has humor and is very informative about what it is a transgender person goes through when they are hiding who they truly want to be. Very much recommend the read.

And that is everything that I’ve been loving this month! Let me know what you thought and if you and I have any of the same favorites. Have a great day! xoxo,

  1. I am in love with the NYX Finishing Powder and the Fit Me Foundation too! They are staples in my collection! Plus you can’t argue with the price 🙂 We have the EXACT same phone case as well *twins* lol. Your books seems like a good read. I minored in Women and Gender Studies during my undergraduate year and I loved each and every course! I am glad you enjoyed it!

    1. I never had a finishing powder before and it changes everything! I don’t know how I got by without it for so long before haha

And yes I just finished it and it was amazing. I have a minor in LGBT studies and I’ve been loving it! Xoxo
